The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
